Working closely with our Chief Data and AI Officer, you will shape our Data and AI strategy for our Group Benefits Business to drive business value and customer satisfaction.The D&AI team is driving insights, AI, and data activation across Guardian to enable successful delivery of Guardian’s strategy. The team’s mission is to be a trusted partner that continuously enables scalable and mutually valuable customer solutions. The EDAO’s activities to achieve this mission include data lifecycle management, data solution design and execution, advanced analytics that drives insight development, and using our data and AI products to enable valuable business decisions and actions. We are a team of data analysts, data product owners, data engineers, data scientists, and most importantly, data business leaders. Our solutions and actions are critical to Group Business’ and Guardian’s revenue growth, risk management, and customer experience.As Group Benefits Business Head of Data and AI, you will be driving the data, analytics, and AI strategy and execution for the Group business, which includes defining and applying data, machine learning, and artificial intelligence solutions to business unit capabilities and products. Successful leaders in the role have expertise in insurance and financial services with a passion for designing and implementing data and AI capabilities and solutions that enable breakout growth, competitive advantage, and customer satisfaction.You Are:Exceptionally skilled in leading the development and implementation of data and AI solutions to solve complex business challenges.Fueled by collaboration, with a proven ability to transform conceptual thinking into actionable insights.An influential leader who enjoys working with multi-disciplinary teams to drive data-driven decision making.Driven by a passion for creating world-class data and AI capabilities that offer competitive advantages.You Will:Design and implement the Group Benefits Data and AI strategy and roadmap, identifying business opportunities across the value chain.Partner with the Group Business Leadership Team (GBLT) to contribute to, influence and implement department goals and priorities.Lead an impactful Data and AI team, fostering strong, collaborative relationships across the organization.Apply strategic consulting and project management skills to drive the successful execution of data and AI projects.Evangelize data-informed decision-making and establish continuous improvement practices.Oversee compliance with regulatory and privacy requirements during the design and implementation of solutions.Sponsor data and analytic R&D/innovation and proof of concept initiatives to support long-term growth objectives.You Have:15+ years of relevant industry experience with a proven track record of P&L contribution and value realization.Proven success delivering large-scale Data and AI projects on time and within budget, managing teams of 50+ employees both onshore and offshore.Proven experience carrying out supervisory responsibilities as leader of managers for at least 30 or more people.Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work effectively with senior executives.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with superb attention to detail.A degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field and demonstrated leadership ability.Location & Travel:New York City, Boston MA, or Bethlehem PAFlex 3+ (Hybrid)Salary Range:$250,000 - $300,000The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate.
