The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience, be a member of the California Bar, and possess strong litigation skills. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate the ability to work independently, excellent writing skills, computer proficiency, and a solid academic background. Familiarity with family law is considered a plus. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic legal practice in a vibrant metropolitan area.Duties:
Handle and manage civil litigation matters from inception to resolution.Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and represent clients in court proceedings.Client Interaction:
Interact with clients to understand their legal needs and objectives.Provide legal advice and guidance, ensuring client satisfaction.Independence and Initiative:
Work independently on cases and demonstrate proactive initiative.Take ownership of assigned matters and drive them to successful outcomes.Legal Writing:
Exhibit strong legal writing skills in the preparation of legal documents and correspondence.Draft persuasive motions, briefs, and other litigation-related documents.Utilize legal software and technology efficiently.Stay current with advancements in legal technology and integrate them into the practice.Family Law Support:
If applicable, leverage family law experience to support or enhance the firm's family law practice.Collaborate with colleagues on multidisciplinary legal matters.Requirements:
3+ years of experience in civil litigation.Must be a member of the California Bar.Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Strong skills in managing civil litigation cases independently.Excellent legal writing and communication skills.Proficiency in using legal software and general computer skills.Strong academic credentials from law school.Familiarity or experience in family law is a plus.
