Job Summary

Pick-up surplus equipment from campus departments and deliver to the Logistics warehouse. Deliver packages and freight to campus departments as needed. Sort and prepare surplus equipment for onsite auctions. Assist in the replacement and removal of damaged furniture. Assist with the redistribution of surplus items to campus. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: Warehouse staff, Building Managers, Property Coordinators, vendors, and contractors. This position will typically advise and counsel: Same as above. This position will supervise: NA.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -Pick-up of surplus equipment and removal of all damaged furniture on GT Campus.

Job Duty 2 -Sort and prepare surplus equipment in Logistics warehouse for onsite auctions.

Job Duty 3 -Attach and verify asset tags on surplus items, and ensure surplus forms are complete.

Job Duty 4 -Track repurposed surplus for campus.

Job Duty 5 -Assist with maintaining the loading and unloading area compliant with Environmental Health and Safety standards.

Job Duty 6 -Communicate with campus staff and assist in investigating and resolving customer inquiries.

Job Duty 7 -Act as a back-up to the Logistics Associate II, as needed.

Job Duty 8 -Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Educational RequirementsHigh School Diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma

Other Required QualificationsValid Georgia Driver's License

Required ExperienceUp to two years of job related experience

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

SKILLSThis job requires the ability to lift heavy loads up to 75 pounds. Must also have good customer service skills and good attention to detail.
