Department InformationThe Georgia Tech Athletic Associate (GTAA) sponsors varsity intercollegiate athletics competition in 17 NCAA Division I sports for the Georgia Institute of Technology. We are a proud member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. To assist students in career planning, job search strategies, networking, and related pre-professional career development skills. Provide advice and counsel to students regarding cooperative, internship, service-learning, entrepreneurial, and other experiential learning opportunities as well as career opportunities following graduation. This position will interact on a regular basis with: Students, Faculty, Alumni, and employer representatives. Job Duty 1 -Advise and assist students in identifying co-op, internship and other experiential learning opportunities as well as post-graduation career opportunities.Job Duty 2 -Confer with students individually to assist them in career skill development in such areas as establishing career plans, writing resumes and cover letters, preparing for interviews, and networking.Job Duty 3 -Present and coordinate workshops, trainings, seminars, orientations sessions, and outreach on career related subjectsJob Duty 4 -Develop and teach courses and seminars on career development topicsJob Duty 5 -Update and maintain student files and maintain consistent, timely, and professional correspondence with students.Job Duty 6 -Operate as liaison between Career Center and assigned college or departments.Job Duty 7 -Collect and report data in all relevant databases and systems.Job Duty 8 -Create and generate annual and other reports as requested.Job Duty 9 -Coordinate and participate fully in all programs, events, and other aspects of the unit, including trainings, outreach, center operations and employer relations.Job Duty 10 -Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Educational RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Other Required QualificationsOvernight travel required for project delivery; flexibility in on-site daily service delivery hours (due to client shift schedules, project requirements).

SKILLSThis job requires advanced knowledge of cooperative education and internship program administration; academic advising and career counseling in a university setting, marketing, and participant relations.
