We are seeking a visionary and dynamic Senior Vice President of Engineering to lead our engineering team into the next phase of growth and innovation.Position Overview:The Senior Vice President of Engineering will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for driving the strategic direction and execution of all engineering activities within the company. This individual will lead the design, development, and optimization of our lithium-ion battery products, ensuring that we continue to push the boundaries of technology, performance, and sustainability. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in battery technology, a strong track record of leadership, and the ability to navigate the complexities of a rapidly evolving industry.Key Responsibilities:Leadership & Strategy:

Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Develop and execute the engineering strategy aligned with the company's business objectives.Product Development:

Oversee the end-to-end development of lithium-ion battery products, from concept to commercialization. Ensure that products meet or exceed customer requirements for performance, safety, and reliability.Technology Innovation:

Drive research and development initiatives to enhance battery technology, including energy density, cycle life, and charging speed. Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.Operational Excellence:

Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to optimize production processes, improve yields, and reduce costs. Implement best practices in engineering and project management to ensure timely delivery of products.Stakeholder Engagement:

Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, partners, and regulatory bodies, to ensure alignment on technical specifications, compliance, and market needs.Risk Management:

Identify and mitigate risks related to product design, development, and deployment. Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental policies.Budget & Resource Management:

Manage the engineering budget, including capital expenditures and staffing. Allocate resources effectively to maximize productivity and project outcomes.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field; Master’s or Ph.D. preferred.15+ years of experience in engineering leadership roles, with a focus on lithium-ion battery technology or related fields.Proven track record of successfully bringing advanced battery products to market.Deep technical knowledge of battery chemistry, cell design, and energy storage systems.Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and develop engineering talent.Excellent project management skills, with experience managing complex, multidisciplinary projects.Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.Experience with regulatory compliance and quality assurance in the energy or automotive industries is a plus.
