Job responsibilities include:

Develop and implement comprehensive volunteer management strategies, ensuring effective coordination, communication, and recognition of volunteers efforts.Recruit, interview, train, supervise, and assign appropriate tasks to Day House volunteers. Coordinate volunteer coverage calendar and arrange coverage as needed.Act as a liaison between congregational volunteer teams and program staff. Equip volunteers with resources and training needed to be successful.Maintain and oversee multiple forms of daily communication between program staff and host churches and volunteers.Work closely with coordinators at host congregations to ensure they have needed information and supplies for their host weeksConduct Day House and Coordinator volunteer training and meetings. Plan the agenda, arrange for needed equipment, supplies, and handouts.Serve as the Staff liaison for Congregational Recruitment and Congregational Care Volunteer teams.Onboard new congregations and train new volunteer coordinators.Set and maintain the Hosting schedule along with the Staff on call schedule. Update RingCentral with weekly changes.Plan, coordinate, and occasionally lead life skills training. This includes finding and scheduling facilitators and securing curriculum for adult life skills for all core programs.Plan, coordinate, and occasionally lead the Bright Futures program. This includes finding and scheduling facilitators and securing curriculum for children and youth for all core programs.Oversee life skills class calendar for families, arrange for food head counts, meal supplies, and contact instructors to make arrangements for courses.Oversee the planning of family-related events for holidays and special occasions in partnership with the Family Events volunteer team.Recruit and schedule volunteers for community outreach events in partnership with the Director of Development & Community Engagement.

Essential functions of all staff:

Meet with community partners in collaboration with the Director of Development as requested to build relationships that can benefit the families we serve including potential new volunteers. Participating in community booths as requested or needed.Interact with guest families, other staff, volunteers, board members, community partners, and donors in a respectful and appropriate way at all times.Attend staff meetings and maintain effective communication with the Executive Director and other staff in order to coordinate needs and duties.Answer the phones which may include completing phone screens from families requesting services, providing program information, fielding potential donations and presentation requests, and transferring calls to the correct contact person.Answer the door at the Day House to accept donations, providing tours as requested, and greeting volunteer groups. Coordinating with other staff for maximum availability at Day House, as well as covering days off and vacations.Account for all spending and staying within stated budget parameters.Fulfill on-call and emergency needs as part of staff rotational duties which may include work on weekends and/or in the evenings.Complete other duties and projects as assigned.
