The Sales Manager plays a critical role in helping JBT and its customers achieve their goals. They will grow the business in their vertical, focusing on automotive. This includes owning the development of an industry sales plan, account plans, and the associated strategies to achieve orders and profitability goals. The Opportunity ... Your Impact and Essential Duties Develop an Industry Sales Plan for assigned focus industry (focus on automotive) or regional segment(s). Demonstrate understanding of the customer's priorities and initiatives. Discuss relevant trends and priorities integrating industry knowledge and solution knowledge. Have comprehensive understanding of JBT Automated Systems solutions Responsible for overall strategic account plans, pursuit plans, Displacement Plan and Pipeline Development Plan. Coordinate activities with other JBT division sales efforts on a national and international level. Respond to RFPs, bid preparation, follow-up, negotiation and closing of sales Provide sales and executive management with account updates, sales forecasts, etc. Must have deep automotive industry knowledge for capital equipment specifically in assembly and in plant logistics Serve as the liaison between the customer and engineering and leads the development of new system proposals. Assist Product Support staff with the development of system expansion or enhancement proposals. Work closely with the all functional stakeholders Why work at JBT ... Qualifications Minimum 5-7 years of experience selling complex solutions (capital equipment) into industrial accounts Multi year track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals Experience leading multi-million dollar enterprise sales campaigns Pre existing connections with Detroit big three and other auto makers is a strong plus Willingness to travel 50% or more Must have deep automotive industry knowledge for capital equipment specifically in assembly and/or in plant logistics Industry 4.0 basic knowledge Familiarity with electrification trends of the automotive industry Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in engineering or business (engineering preferred); or equivalent combination of education and experience. Other Competencies Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Knowledge of Salesforce, a plus. Strong mechanical-electrical aptitude Current valid driver's license Process, discrete, and/or manufacturing industry knowledge / experience AutoCAD and/or 3D visualization tool basic knowledge is a plus What we offer: Creative, innovative, boundary-less organization.
