Job Description
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking an experienced
Data Analyst/Communications Specialist
in support of the CBP in the Southwestern sector of the US border. This role requires a professional with proficiency in
inventory management software
such as
SAP
and/or
Oracle , and data analysis tools like
Excel
and/or
Power BI , to support our US Government
customer requirements .As a
Data Analyst/Communications Specialist , you will:Analyze inventory data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement of Unattended Ground Sensor (UGS) components.Maintain accurate inventory tracking systems, ensuring real-time visibility.Create and distribute clear, concise reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate status and data insights to stakeholders.Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and operations teams to align inventory management practices with overall organizational goals.Support inventory forecasting and demand planning by analyzing historical data and market trends.Support project management teams with resource allocation, risk management, and timeline adjustments based on data analysis and schedule evaluations.Manage internal and external communications related to inventory management, including updates on schedules.Conduct regular audits and data quality checks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of inventory records.Provide actionable recommendations to improve inventory.Facilitate meetings and briefings to communicate inventory-related issues, risks, and opportunities to leadership and other key stakeholders.Train and support team members on inventory management tools, data analysis techniques, and effective communication strategies.Collect, analyze, and interpret complex datasets to support decision-making processes across the organization.Job Requirements
Active CBP Background Investigation or TOP SECRET clearanceBachelor's degree
in Data Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Communications, or a related field.At least
5-7 years' experience
in data analysis and inventory management OR9-11 years' experience with high school diploma
Strong ability to interpret and communicate complex information.Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in crafting messages for diverse audiences.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in managing inventory records and data.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment with a focus on data-driven decision-making.AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
