Job Summary
The gynecologic medical oncology and surgery inpatient outpatient Nurse Practitioner is a clinical leader and expert in the management of inpatient outpatient medical oncology and surgical patients. The NP will be an expert resource for post-operative management, chemotherapy management, workup of cancer diagnoses and symptom management, and care coordination of patients within the inpatient setting.The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.The salary range for this position is $95.69 - $124.10 (Hourly Rate).Department Description
The UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center is an accredited National Cancer Institute Comprehensive Cancer Center. The NCI-Designation recognizes the scientific leadership, resources, and the depth and breadth of the research in basic, clinical and population science. As a Comprehensive Cancer Center, we demonstrate the added depth and breadth of research as well as substantial trans-disciplinary research that bridges these scientific areas. The clinical services encompass adult and pediatric tumors across three campuses as well as regional satellite locations.Required Qualifications
Minimum of two (2) years of recent medical and/or surgical oncology experience as a Nurse Practitioner.Preferred Qualifications
Experience prescribing/managing chemotherapy plans.Previous inpatient and outpatient gyn onc NP experience.License/Certification
California driver's license (CDL) if required for position.Current national certification from an accepted certifying agency and provide by first day of work.Current and active RN and NP and Furnishing license in California.Complete a BRN recognized graduate master's degree program as a nurse practitioner.Obtain an active and/or transferable DEA license to California and provide evidence by 90th day of clinical practice.Submit enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid through credentialing by first clinical day.Current AHA BLS as minimum.State regulation requires that you have a supervising physician to practice.Incumbents with less than 6 months of NP experience will be hired as a Nurse Practitioner 1.About UCSF
