This position requires a J.D. and NC Bar admission and is based in Washington, DC.Duties and Responsibilities
Draft and review documentation for complex derivatives transactions.Advise clients on regulatory and compliance issues related to derivatives.Structure and negotiate bespoke derivatives transactions.Provide legal counsel on risk management and hedging strategies.Maintain and manage client relationships, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff on multi-jurisdictional transactions.Keep abreast of changes in derivatives law and industry trends.Assist in the development and implementation of firm-wide derivatives strategies and policies.Requirements
Minimum of 2+ years of experience in derivatives at a financial institution or law firm.Proven ability to draft and review complex legal documents.Strong understanding of derivatives markets, products, and regulations.Ability to work independently and manage multiple transactions simultaneously.Excellent client management and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.Education and Certifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the North Carolina Bar.Skills
