BCP is responsible for the design, manufacturing, marketing and support of Caterpillar’s line of small, versatile construction machines and attachments.Role Definition:The Director of Supply Chain for BCP will manage a team that oversees the order to delivery supply chain to ensure availability of necessary commodities to support manufacturing or distribution. This role will provide strategic leadership for supply chain planning, performance, capability, packaging strategy, and inventory management for the division.Responsibilities:Maintain communications with operations, procurement, logistics, and distribution.Interact with sales, engineering, and facilities management on production schedules and expected deliverables.Manage and provide strategic direction for supply chain planning, packaging strategy, and inventory management.Establish key performance metrics and benchmarks to guide supply chain planning and forecasting.Demonstrated experience leading large teams.Degree RequirementSkill Descriptors:Analytical Thinking:Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis.Ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems.Organizes and prioritizes the sequence of steps to remedy situations.Decision Making and Critical Thinking:Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools.Ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions.Strategic Thinking:Knowledge of the importance of
