Specifically, this position will administer the company's compliance, compensation, and benefit programs. This position reports to the HR Services Manager.Primary ResponsibilitiesSupport the design and analyze/administer, employer compensation programs and benefits programs.Develop and administer benefits programs, and communicate eligibility and coverage information to employees.Manage HR Leave Admin email box and partner with 3 rd

party leave administrator and field HR on leaves of absence.Manage state paid leaves.Maintain healthy relationship with benefit vendors.Research and correct carrier feed issues with benefit vendors.Set up court ordered insurance orders.Initiate COBRA notices for new hires and terminated employees.Process benefit invoices.Lead benefit initiatives including open enrollment, dependent verification, evidence of insurability, life events and new hire enrollments.Prepare and submit annual 1095-C & 1095-B forms.Lead annual benefit & compliance audits.Respond to employee inquiries in a timely fashion.Ensure compliance of benefit programs.Develop and implement cost-efficient programs to assist with employee retention and to attract top talent.Identify compensation trends and implement new practices to engage and motivate employees.Draft job descriptions and verify FLSA classifications.Strategize with benefit vendors and brokers to enhance employee benefit programs while considering cost savings.Ensure salaries and benefits comply with the current legislation.Support the designs and communication of pay structures, grades, and compensation budgets.Advise managers and HR on effective pay decisions.Participate in compensation surveys, conduct research and analysis on market competitiveness, pay equity, and compensation trends.Assist with annual performance, merit and bonus programs.Manage company's ethics hotline program.Manage changes to company policies, including annual review with legal.Complete all compliance reporting, including but not limited to, AAP reporting, EEO, IL Equal Pay Act.Manage all legal requests such as subpoenas, personnel file requests, pay records, etc.HR point person for all questionnaires (i.e., SMETA, Ecovadis).Perform other job duties as assigned.Required SkillsTechnical SkillsThe successful candidate will have 3-5 years' experience in compensation, compliance or benefits related role.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Outlook.Bachelor's degree in HR or related field preferred.Knowledge of labor legislation is required.Excellent analytical skills.Experience managing benefits and compensation in a Human Resources Information System (HRIS) is a plus.Leadership SkillsExcellent judgment and problem-solving skills.Strong people and management skills.Ability to exercise extreme confidentiality.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Flexible, willing to make decisions, and able to quickly adapt from one situation to the next.Detail oriented, organized, consistent and reliable with follow-through.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Diversity and InclusionWe believe in diversity of thought and bringing together other traits and characteristics that make an individual bring a unique experience to Pregis.
