The mission of Homeless Children’s Network (HCN) is to decrease the trauma of homelessness and domestic violence for children, youth, and families; to empower families; and to increase the effectiveness of collaborative efforts among service providers to end homelessness and poverty.HCN works to decrease the impact of trauma and to empower families. Their comprehensive clinical services enable them to work closely with each family to understand their needs and to connect them to resources. They form a trusted relationship and follow their clients over time, providing security and stability that allows them to become more stable and confident, raise healthy and emotionally independent children, and develop skills and training that will help lift them out of the cycle of homelessness. Annually, HCN serves more than 2,400 unduplicated individuals who are homeless, formerly homeless, or at risk for homelessness.The Opportunity
HCN has been growing steadily and is seeking to continue that growth. The Board and CEO are looking for a mission-focused, seasoned, strategic, and process-driven Chief Operating Officer (COO) with experience scaling an organization, leading an executive management team, and developing a performance culture among a group of diverse, talented individuals.The COO will be able to help HCN deliver measurable, cost-effective results that make the vision a reality. Importantly, the successful COO will have the skills, sensitivity, and personal confidence to tap into the power that each member of the team brings to this mission. While it is essential that the COO bring efficient and effective systems to increase the productivity of the organization, it is also critical that the team retain the passion and vision that drives the HCN concept.Contact
