Job Description The Program Development Coordinator (PDC) is an integral member of CNFA’s New Business Development Team contributing to the business development process in the developing of winning proposals enabling the organization to grow strategically. General Responsibilities:
The PDC will be responsible for a wide range of functions, including but not limited to: Identifying and tracking business development opportunities from various US government and other donor websites, including intelligence gathering about the competitive landscape, USAID Cooperative Development Country Strategies, etc. Carrying out and summarizing desk research for proposal teams. Reviewing solicitation documents, and creating compliance matrices, calendars, partnership packets, and various outlines to guide proposal preparation. Organizing proposal planning meetings with staff and partners. Developing CNFA program capability statements to inform marketing and business development initiatives. Writing sections of proposals under the supervision of senior team members. Supporting proposal-related recruitment tasks, especially for non-key personnel. Coordinating the proposal process from solicitation release to proposal submission, liaising with staff and partners to ensure that deadlines are met, coordinating copy-editing requirements at the final stage of proposal development, including formatting final drafts. Maintaining records of proposal development processes, including meeting notes, shared resources, and technical inputs, to ensure efficient collaboration and knowledge management. Formatting technical proposals and, as needed, supporting the formatting of cost proposals. Carrying out administrative tasks such as developing and tracking consulting agreements, including level of effort and time, processing invoices for payment, etc. Support post-submission activities, including debriefings and revisions based on feedback from donors. Traveling to the field to help with proposal preparation, as needed. Job Requirements
Qualifications: Minimum bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required, master’s degree in a related field preferred. Minimum two years of experience in proposal preparation, program development, or related profession preferred. Two or more years of relevant international development experience is highly desirable. Professional proficiency (both verbal and written) in French, Arabic, or Spanish is strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of MS Suite, specifically MS Word formatting and styling required.
