Job Title: Farmer-to-Farmer Program Coordinator Salary: $40,000 - $77,400 Location: WASHINGTON, DC 20036 US (Primary) Job Type: Full-time Staff Education: Bachelor's Degree Travel: Up to 25% Job Description CNFA is seeking a Program Coordinator for an entry-level position that will support the USAID-funded Farmer-to-Farmer (F2F) Program. The F2F Program combines volunteer consultancies with highly skilled local staff to deliver technical assistance and business development services to farmer organizations and agricultural small and medium enterprises. Our volunteer consultants are U.S. citizens or permanent U.S. residents, comprising farmers, agribusiness professionals, cooperative managers, bankers, agricultural educators, and others with expertise in agriculture. Over the five-year program, approximately 324 volunteer assignments will be conducted. The primary goal of the F2F program is to generate rapid, sustainable, broad-based economic growth in the agricultural sector; the secondary goal is to increase the American public's understanding of international development issues and programs as well as international understanding of the U.S. and U.S. development programs. Position Overview The F2F Program Coordinator will work in a dynamic team to support CNFA’s F2F Program and manage the F2F volunteer recruitment process under the supervision of the F2F Program Officer. Duties and Responsibilities Actively manage recruitment needs for upcoming assignments with country and headquarter teams. Update and manage CNFA’s volunteer opportunities and review submitted CVs. Shortlist high-quality candidates, share CVs with country teams, and finalize the recruitment process. Develop strategies to increase the pool of potential F2F volunteers through social media and events. Maintain a roster of organizations with potential F2F volunteers and a roster of potential F2F volunteers. Tailor F2F recruitment to current and future needs and support the development of the F2F database. Collect information on recruitment for monitoring, evaluation, and learning. Support the Program Management Unit in overseeing the operational and programmatic success of the project. Assist in monitoring and advising on project expenditure adjustment plans. Assist communications staff in developing and maintaining promotional content for project and CNFA websites. Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in international studies, agricultural development, economics, social sciences, or a similar field. Strong conceptual, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to initiate and organize work while establishing priorities in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment. Ability to develop strong trusting relationships to gain support and achieve results. Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities. Ability to work in an environment with international objectives. Flexibility and interpersonal skills to interact with employees at all levels. Preferred Qualifications Understanding of agricultural development. Experience working with international development projects/programs focused on private sector/enterprise development. Knowledge of USAID program planning cycles and reporting. Experience living internationally, preferably in developing countries. Database and CRM development experience is a plus.
