The Director of Human Resources is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Human Resources function for a large, upscale hotel resort with over 1,000 associates. This role is critical in driving a high-performance culture, ensuring compliance with all labor laws, fostering associate engagement, and contributing to the overall success of the resort. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive experience in hospitality HR, and a proven ability to develop and implement HR strategies that align with the resort's goals.Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:Strategic HR Leadership:

Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the resort's business objectives. Provide strategic HR direction to the executive team and department heads.Talent Acquisition & Retention:

Oversee recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes to attract and retain top talent. Implement retention strategies to maintain a stable and motivated workforce.Employee Relations:

Manage all associate relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and investigations, ensuring compliance with legal standards and company policies.Performance Management:

Lead the performance management process including performance reviews. Drive a culture of continuous feedback and improvement.Learning & Development:

Design and implement training programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of associates at all levels. Promote career development and succession planning within the organization.Compensation:

Oversee the administration of compensation ensuring wages are competitive and align with the company's compensation philosophy.Compliance & Risk Management:

Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal labor laws. Oversee HR audits and ensure that all HR practices meet corporate standards and legal requirements.Culture & Engagement:

Foster a positive work environment by promoting the company's values and creating programs that enhance associate engagement and satisfaction.HR Metrics & Reporting:

Analyze HR metrics to assess the effectiveness of HR initiatives and make data-driven decisions. Provide regular reports to the executive team on key HR indicators.Budget Management:

Develop and manage the HR department's budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to meet the resort's HR needs.Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. PHR Certification preferred.8-10 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the hospitality industry.Proven experience in managing HR functions in large, complex organizations in an upscale environment.Strong knowledge of employment laws, labor relations, and HR best practices.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Omni Hotels & Resorts is an equal opportunity employer - vets/disability.
