Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Short Hills, NJ is seeking a Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney with a strong academic background, superior research and writing skills, and substantial case management experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team, handle complex legal issues effectively, and maintain a high standard of professionalism.Key Responsibilities

Manage and execute litigation cases from start to finish, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies and client advisories.Prepare and present legal arguments in court, administrative hearings, and other legal proceedings.Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, judges, and other legal professionals, both verbally and in writing.Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to ensure timely and efficient case management.Produce high-quality work product in a timely manner, meeting deadlines and expectations.Respond to phone calls, correspondence, and other client or firm communications in a professional and efficient manner.Comply with all firm policies and procedures, maintaining a positive work environment.Participate in digital/virtual meetings and conference calls as needed.Perform other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.Requirements

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a well-recognized and respected law school.Admission to the State Bar in the jurisdiction where the firm is located or eligibility for admission via waiver.Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, preferably gained at an AmLaw 100 firm.Demonstrated experience in case management and handling complex legal issues.Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.Strong research, problem-solving, and analytical skills.Ability to effectively communicate with clients, colleagues, and external parties.Proficiency in using legal research tools and case management software.Skills
