Chapin Hall is seeking an experienced temporary, part-time Human Resources Coordinator who will work collaboratively with Chapin Hall staff. This position will report directly to the Senior HR/Payroll Administrator and allows for remote work and periodic in-person attendance at Chicago, IL meetings. The successful applicant is expected to work normal business hours and must have flexibility in their work schedule to accommodate business demands.The Human Resources Coordinator will help advance the mission of Chapin Hall by supporting and providing administrative support to the Human Resources Department. The selected individual will help ensure effective and efficient human resources operations by supporting payroll, compliance, onboarding, offboarding and HRIS (Human Resources Information System) administration activities.Chapin Hall embraces a "Work from Anywhere" approach which offers flexible remote work from anywhere in the United States. Reasonable accommodations are made for those who require modifications.RESPONSIBILITIESHR AdministrationCompletes requests for employment verification.Completes HR onboarding tasks for new hires in advance of and during their initial period of employment, as well as offboarding tasks for separating staff.Schedules HR outlook events for organization.Maintains staff directory.Responds to requests for non-confidential HR information and reporting.Ensures that workplace postings are compliant with federal, state and local law.Serves as the HR documentation retention resource ensuring that documentation is filed appropriately and retained as per policy.Maintains information held on HR intranet pages and internal communications platforms.RecruitingSupports the full-cycle recruitment process to include scheduling interviews, posting open positions and maintaining new hire files.Maintains staff data across various HR systems through accurate and timely input, to support staff changes and the performance management, compliance, and promotions processes.Performs other tasks as assigned.Qualifications

A minimum of two (2) years of professional experience or education in human resources, preferred.Proven experience in HR coordination or a similar role, preferably in a remote or hybrid work environment, preferred.Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to successfully manage relationships across the organization required.Solid understanding of HR processes and best practices, including recruitment and employee data management.Experience with payroll administration is preferred.Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects simultaneously, set priorities, and meet deadlines, despite constant interruptions required.Exceptional attention-to-detail and organization, with keen time management skills.Self-motivated and proactive with a high level of initiative.Familiarity with HR databases, including but not limited to HRMS/HRIS, preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word, required.Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
