We are seeking a motivated, qualified individual to join our company as a Painter who will contribute to the creation of high-quality customized trailers. As a key member of the production team, this position will be responsible for applying paint finishes to trailers according to client specifications, ensuring a flawless appearance and long-lasting durability. All work will be performed in accordance with applicable guidelines, Company safety procedures, and OSHA regulations.

Work performed will be on customized trailers built from ground up. Shift hours are 3pm - 1am, Monday - Friday, with weekends as job demands.

Duties & Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming as necessarySelect and mix paints to achieve desired colors and finishes, following specific paint codes and customer preferencesOperate paint spraying equipment and other tools to apply paint evenly and efficiently to trailer surfacesMonitor and adjust painting parameters such as pressure, flow rate, and spray pattern to achieve optimal resultspply clear coats and protective finishes to enhance the appearance and durability of the paint jobEnsure consistent color matching and quality by adhering to established painting techniques and standardsPerform touch-ups and corrections as needed to maintain the integrity of the finished productMaintain a safe, clean, and organized painting area, including proper disposal of hazardous materialsCollaborate with design and fabrication teams to ensure accurate execution of customized designsKeep accurate records of paint usage, color formulas, and work performedParticipate in quality control inspections to identify and address any imperfections or defectsMaintain tools and equipment in optimal working order and perform regular maintenance to maximize productionObserve all safety and security procedures, report unsafe conditions, and properly use equipmentMaintain open communication with team members and leadershipUse Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as requiredPerforms other job-related duties as assignedRequirements

High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)Proven experience as an automotive or industrial painter, preferably with experience painting trailers or large vehiclesExcellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterityBasic reading and writing skillsMust be able to meet criteria for safety sensitive functions according to Company standardsKnowledge, Skill, & Abilities

Proficiency in using various paint application techniques and equipment, including spray guns and paint mixing systemsKnowledge of different types of paints, coatings, and finishing materialsbility to interpret paint codes, color charts, and design specificationsDetail-oriented mindset with a commitment to producing precise and high-quality workbility to be a self-starter capable of working effectively in a fast-paced, team environmentbility to prioritize workload and meet time sensitive deadlinesSolid understanding of safety procedures related to painting and chemical handlingbility to communicate effectively with team members and leadershipbility to understand and follow oral and written instructionsbility to follow all company safety policies and proceduresWillingness to work flexible hours based on production demandsbility to lift and move up to 50 - 100 lbsPhysical stamina required for position and the ability to work in extreme weather conditions - heat, cold, etc.
