As a 50/50 joint venture between Sony and Honda, SHM was established in Japan on September 28th, 2022, with over 200 employees in Tokyo. Sony Honda Mobility of America, situated in Culver City, California, was established in March 2023, where our dedicated team is working on introducing the electric vehicle, AFEELA, to the market. AFEELA embodies the essence of "FEEL," central to the mobility experience, fostering an interactive relationship where people "FEEL" mobility as an intelligent entity, and mobility reciprocates by "FEELing" people and society through sensing and network IT technologies. Position Summary

SHMA is seeking an experienced Director of Sales to play a pivotal role in the highly anticipated launch of AFEELA in 2026. This strategic position will lead the execution of successful sales programs and shape best practices across the organization, delivering on sales goals. You will be a visionary leader, orchestrating strategies to solidify SHMA's presence and unlock brand growth.

Job Responsibilities

Develop & Execute Successful Sales Programs

Develop and lead the execution of comprehensive sales strategic, tactical and action plans to drive sales volume for AFEELAResponsible for meeting or exceeding annual sales goals and financial objectivesWork closely with internal teams to develop sales forecast and modelingPartner with customers to understand their business needs, their processes, and objectivesWork closely with internal teams to assist with operational challenges and issues meeting customer's requirementsContinue to build and maintain strong, long-lasting key customer relationshipsEffectively communicate our brand and product value proposition through proposals and sales presentationsTrack & Optimize Sales Performance

Manage, track and measure sales reporting and data to make data-driven decisions for continuous improvementStay ahead of industry trends and identify new opportunities that meet both the customer, and our company needsBuild Relationships & Cultivate Success

Build and lead a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and innovation.Partner with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and customer service, to ensure seamless brand messaging and customer experience

Qualifications for Position

Bachelor's degree (any relevant field)Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, with a proven track record of success in leading and executing sales strategies.Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detailStrong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to translate data into compelling insights and recommendationsProven track record of executing and optimizing impactful sales strategies that deliver measurable business resultsProficiency in Microsoft Office, reporting dashboards, BI tools, and related softwareProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Excellent presentation and communication skillsCollaborative spirit and ability to effectively build relationships across internal and external stakeholdersBenefits

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $140,000 to $205,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
