GAI Consultants, Inc. is looking for a Senior Roadway inspector to conduct inspections for our growing highway construction workload. This position will be based out of our Jacksonville, FL office, but the position will be working in and around the Tallahassee, Fl and Panama City, FL areas.Job Duties:Responsible for performing highly complex technical assignments such as in-field surveying and construction layout and making and checking engineering computations.Inspect construction work and conduct field tests.Coordinate and manage the lower-level inspectors.Work is performed under the general supervision of the Project Administrator

Physical Requirements:Ability to lift up to 30 pounds unassisted.Must be capable of walking in steep varying terrain in all climate conditions.Must be able to drive.

Experience

Required:4 years of experience in roadway or bridge construction inspection, 2 years of which should in bridge and/or roadway construction inspection with the exception of Complex Category 2 (CC2) bridge structures; ora Civil Engineering degree and 1 year of road & bridge CEI experience with the ability to earn additional required certifications within 1 year.
