The Congressional Lobbyist is a congressional affairs position within the Division of Government and Public Affairs and is located in Washington, DC. Incumbent shall be responsible for advocating legislative priorities of the Association.Must Have:

Bachelor's degreeA minimum of five years' experience as Lobbyist or as a Congressional or political party staff personExperience developing and implementing legislative, lobbying, and political strategiesIn-depth knowledge of Congress and the legislative processHill experience with particular knowledge of major Congressional health committees, health associations and federal health care issuesExcellent interpersonal, oral/written communications and analytical skillsEstablished relationships with Members of Congress and their staffAbility to respond to legislative changes, development of alternative legislative approaches and political developments, strategies and tactical planningProficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)Evenings/weekends for work/meetings and occasional travelNice to Have:
