CLS represents policyholders in claims-related litigation/disputes across the country. It also represents the Company in the defense of low and moderate exposure bodily injury and property damage lawsuits.While awaiting the results of the bar examination and subsequent admission to the bar, under the direction and supervision of an admitted attorney, the Senior Consultant I prepares pleadings and motions, conducts discovery, including reviewing documents, interviewing clients, preparing trial materials, and summarizing and analyzing research.Key ResponsibilitiesReview new file assignments and draft initial pleadings (e.g., answer, motion, etc.) and draft discoveryPrepare briefs to assist clients in presenting cases in small claims court (CA)Draft responses to discovery demandsAssist clients in answering questions regarding discoveryReview and serve responses to discovery demandsAssist attorney in preparing materials for trial, arbitration, or mediationAttend arbitrations, depositions, mediations, and trials with admitted attorneyThe position begins in early to mid-August while waiting for results of the bar exam.EducationJuris Doctor (Required)2024 3L Law student; awaiting bar resultsFunctional SkillsFoundational skills/abilities/experiences in the following areas: legal knowledge, business knowledge, issue management, analytical skills, influencing others (inside and outside the company), coaching and development, self-development, and productivityTechnical skills including MS Office suiteProject management skills and law firm/vendor managementFoundational legal and business knowledgeFoundational analytical skillsSkillsCustomer CentricityDigital LiteracyEvidence GatheringInclusive LeadershipLearning AgilityLegal Document PreparationLegal ResearchLitigationMediationResults-OrientedCompensationCompensation offered for this role is $62,800.00 - 114,175.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.Joining our team isn't just a job - it's an opportunity.
