CLS represents policyholders in claims-related litigation/disputes across the country. It also represents the Company in the defense of low and moderate exposure bodily injury and property damage lawsuits.While awaiting the results of the bar examination and subsequent admission to the bar, under the direction and supervision of an admitted attorney, the Senior Consultant I prepares pleadings and motions, conducts discovery, including reviewing documents, interviewing clients, preparing trial materials, and summarizing and analyzing research.Key Responsibilities

Review new file assignments and draft initial pleadings (e.g., answer, motion, etc.) and draft discoveryPrepare briefs to assist clients in presenting cases in small claims court (CA)Draft responses to discovery demandsAssist clients in answering questions regarding discoveryReview and serve responses to discovery demandsAssist attorney in preparing materials for trial, arbitration, or mediationAttend arbitrations, depositions, mediations, and trials with admitted attorneyThe position begins in early to mid-August while waiting for results of the bar exam.Education

Juris Doctor (Required)2024 3L Law student; awaiting bar resultsFunctional Skills
