Sonen Capital is an asset management firm based in San Francisco that focuses exclusively on impact investing. We work with family offices, high net worth individuals, foundations, endowments, and other institutional organizations to provide both exceptional financial returns as well as social and environmental sustainability.
We are looking for an experienced associate with a strong attention to detail, a commitment to continuous learning, and a desire to exceed our clients’ expectations. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional client service and assisting in several operational functions. Responsibilities
The Associate will work closely with the operations, client service, and investment teams to execute a broad, end-to-end range of activities. This role will be tasked with the following functions: Operations:
Work with 3rd party fund administrators of on-shore and off-shore investment vehicles. Assist on the subscription, redemption, and capital calls, for fund investments. Regularly enter AR/AP, process staff expenses, and manage tax filings and K-1 preparations. Assist with various monthly, quarterly, and year-end projects. Assist the Head of Operations with various projects. Client Service:
Assist with the onboarding of new clients. Perform daily maintenance of wealth management system, Addepar, including, but not limited to, recording capital activity and valuations. Assist with the creation of quarterly client performance reports using Addepar. Monitor client liquidity and trade in client accounts as needed. Respond to ad hoc data and report requests from internal teams. Assist the Head of Client Service with a broad range of ad hoc tasks. Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate possesses strong execution skills and the ability to prioritize and manage several projects and deadlines at once in a dynamic environment. Extensive experience in operations, finance, and other back-office functions. Proficiency with MS Office, specifically Excel formulas and charts. In depth knowledge of fund administration. Experience in partnership accounting and operations. Must be proactive, independent, and able to build strong working relationships. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Detail oriented, able to work with tight deadlines, and capable of multi-tasking. Bachelor’s degree with five or more years of comparable experience. Compensation and Benefits
