JOB DESCRIPTION
PoliticalMeetings.com is looking for a Vice President, Business Development to join our team and lead market initiatives in your state. This role requires a highly motivated, energetic expert who can effectively communicate how our free service benefits meeting sponsors by increasing attendance, donations, and votes. You will provide a permission agreement that allows PM to relay information to subscribers, enhancing their engagement with campaigns.
In this role, you will identify and analyze business opportunities, developing and implementing subscriber pursuit strategies in targeted markets. This position reports to the Head of Operations, who will guide priorities, business development strategies, and performance feedback.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prospect and connect with industry leaders regarding their communication and participation needs.
Build and maintain a pipeline to meet and exceed growth targets.
Engage in daily activities including cold/warm/follow-up calls, social networking, and sponsor presentations.
Consult with meeting sponsors on onboarding options for their staff.
Expand service offerings within accounts.
Qualifications:
Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years of sales/business development experience.
Experience selling creative services at the enterprise level, with strong communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to engage C-level executives and generate sponsor and subscriber retention.
Proficient in using CRM systems.
Strong critical thinking, research, and analysis capabilities.
Willingness to travel domestically up to 25% within your territory.
