Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week. Hybrid Schedule – 2 days onsite/3 days remote!

Primary Duties:

Coordinate and lead the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department, including recruitment, onboarding staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave changes, and enforcing company policies and practices. Ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws and regulations.

Other Duties:

Identifies, develops and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods. Supports implementation of all phases of the recruitment process.Collaborates with the hiring manager and the HR Assistant during the offer process, identifying start dates, background check completion, and other pertinent details.Onboards new employees into the employment portal.Conducts new-hire orientation and employee handbook policies meetings.Collaborates with the HR Assistant with HRIS as it relates to employees' personnel files/required forms submission.Partners with the HR Director to understand and execute the organization’s DE&I goals and objectives as it relates to recruitment, retention, and succession planning.Processes personnel and payroll change forms for new hires, terminations, and salary/job changes.Collaborates with payroll to ensure checks and balances during payroll.Administration of company benefits plans. Communicates benefit information to employees, including open enrollment. Processes mandated reports as needed.Administration of 403B Retirement Plan. Processes semi-monthly deposits and loans. Prepares yearly mandated reports (IRS 5500 and Discrimination Report).Provides support and guidance to HR assistant, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.Maintains good working relationships with all employees and sustains credibility within the organization.Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.Attends to other duties and special projects as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; or two to three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.Excellent time management and organizational skills with ability to meet deadlines and pay attention to detail.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks.Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.High proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), and client database software.Ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.Ability to work effectively with people from diverse economic and ethnic backgrounds.Must possess a valid California driver’s license, have use of a motor vehicle and provide evidence of automobile liability insurance.Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer. COMPENSATION PACKAGE INCLUDES:Vacation:
