Job Summary:We are seeking a professional, detail-oriented, and initiative-taking HSE Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing HSE programs to ensure compliance with regulations and operator clients while maintaining a safe working environment. The HSE Specialist will collaborate with various departments to assess risks, provide training, and implement proactive measures to enhance the overall health and safety culture within the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:Conduct thorough assessments of workplace environments to identify potential hazards and risks.Analyze incident reports and trends to develop strategies for accident prevention.Stay up to date with local, state, and federal regulations related to health, safety, and environmental standards.Ensure the organization's compliance with relevant laws and regulations.Deliver training programs on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and environmental awareness.Collaborate with department heads to tailor training sessions to specific job roles and hazards.Lead incident investigations, accidents, injuries, near misses, etc.Prepare detailed reports outlining root causes and recommend corrective actions.Foster our culture of safety and environmental responsibility throughout the worksite.Implement initiatives to encourage employee engagement in safety practices.Prepare records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incidents to Corporate HSE Manager.Prepare HSE reports and files for management.
Requirements and Qualifications:North Slope Work Experience / NSTC Training CardCHST Certification
(Required)Possess excellent written, verbal communication and people skills that include good listening, providing clear direction and effective feedback.Ability to function as a coach/mentor to employees.Ability to work required rotational schedule (4x1).Knowledge of OSHA Regulations and recordkeeping criteria.Must have a valid license and meet Udelhoven requirements to operate vehicles/equipment.No serious moving violations within the prior 5 Years.No more than two (2) minor moving violations in prior 3 years.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS:As a condition of employment, you are required to pass pre-employment drug screening, background screen as well as have acceptable references. Must have reliable transportation to/from work.
