Engineer/Analyst/Program Manager

to join an exciting team working in the DC Metro Area. This opportunity involves hybrid work at the Washington Navy Yard in support of the New Attack Submarine program office. The position, directly supporting the Aft Project Office (APO) portion of the program office, is ideal for a self-starting, detail-oriented, and technically proficient individual. The APO works specifically on research concerning the submarine propulsion train, main storage battery, diesel generator, and control surfaces. The candidate must be highly proficient in consolidating inputs from multiple sources and program technical leadership into detailed, coherent products and documents used to inform senior Navy and DoD leaders. The candidate should have fleet operational engineering experience, experience communicating and interfacing directly with senior leaders; tracking and completing multiple tasks simultaneously; working independently with little to no supervision; and providing objective, independent critical thinking. The preferred candidate will have operational and tactical experience in submarine and undersea warfare. Experience operating on submarines is a plus as are any shore tours emphasizing acquisition, program management, resource sponsorship and/or technical development or testing.
