Job Profile

The bank is hiring an

Accounting Manager (Accounting Systems)

who will

execute high-priority projects for the company to support our strategy and vision . The responsibilities will be linked to the planning, coordination, and implementation of changes across our Accounting Systems.

Education Level

Bachelor’s Degree

or military experience

Work Experience

At least 5 years of experience in Accounting, the Financial Services Industry, or a combination

At least 2 years of Financial System experience

Duties/Responsibilities

Administer system configuration changes

Perform Agile duties and responsibilities required by Capital One

Gather and document requirements related to system configuration changes

Maintain up-to-date understanding of processes that impact GL (PeopleSoft General Ledger) and TrinTech Reconciliation platforms

Participate in peer review meetings to ensure adherence to best practices and standards

Recommend changes or modifications to the existing processes and standards

Understand the financial system value stream

Preferred Qualifications

1+ years of experience in an Agile Environment

Demonstrated ability to maintain effectiveness in a constantly changing environment

Experience using Jira

Experience with Birst or Tableau

Experience with Frontier, TrinTech, or other automated reconciliation systems

Experience with PeopleSoft Financial System or another large financial system such as Workday or Oracle

Experience working on projects using an Agile framework, preferably Scrum or Kanban

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

Ability to apply integrative thinking in complex situations, identify issues, and propose solutions

Analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to integrate information from different sources to solve problems and improve processes

Basic knowledge of Amazon Web Services

Basic knowledge of or experience using SQL

Demonstrated ability to automate manual processes

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
