Executive Director, Shannan BrommerPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities
The Director of Advancement reports to the Executive Director and is responsible for leading and managing the Advancement program including fundraising, communications, constituent relations, and student recruitment and retention. The Director of Advancement works closely with the Advancement Committee of the Board and advises the Executive Director.Working closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors, creates, oversees, and plays a key role in the implementation of a strategic approach to Advancement.Supervises and directs the Advancement staff to achieve goals and strategies in a positive and collaborative working environment.Develops and annually updates a 3-5 year plan with goals and strategies for all advancement activities.Leads all aspects of fund development activities, to include annual giving, planned giving, campaigns, corporate donations, sponsorships, in-kind resources, foundation grant opportunities, and major gifts.Meets with supporters and prospects to build relationships and invite leadership support. Maintains an active pool of prospects in this category.Creates a balanced funding mix of donor sources and solicitation programs tailored to Consortium needs, including expanding alumni and other constituency support.Oversees the establishment of Advancement policies and protocols.Works with the Director of Education and Enrollment and Recruitment Manager to create and implement an impactful student recruitment and retention program.Works with the OCSC Communications Coordinator to create and ensure implementation of a high caliber communications plan.Oversees development of all communications provided by the Advancement Office.Works closely with the Board of Directors to support board members assigned to major gifts.Advises the Executive Director on issues pertaining to the Advancement program as well as leadership prospects assigned to him/her.Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesPracticing Roman Catholic with demonstrated commitment to the mission of the church and her teachings.Demonstrated track record of building an advancement program and raising funds.Knowledge and experience working on fundraising campaigns.Superior oral and written communication and motivational skills.Capable of overseeing multiple programs simultaneously, and to prioritize prospects and activity.A positive self-starter who is people-oriented and results-oriented.Sensitive to the unique personal and educational needs of immigrant and at-risk students.Education and ExperienceBachelor’s Degree or above.Extensive experience and full knowledge of a professional and high-quality advancement program.Application Instructions
