Senior Director, Engagement

, you will be responsible for building substantial programs and strategies to engage current and future donors at all levels to support and elevate the transformational philanthropy campaign for MCW and Froedtert Hospital.This leadership position reports to the Chief Development Officer and Vice President for Institutional Advancement (OIA) and collaborates closely with leadership roles in the Offices of Communications at MCW and Froedtert Hospital to build and advance an aligned engagement strategy for all donor audiences focused on content development, events, stewardship, board connectivity, digital messaging, and all philanthropy communications.ResponsibilitiesLeads the development of renewed strategy focused on nationwide engagement of all donor audiences inclusive of donor recognition, stewardship, philanthropy communications, events, and volunteer engagement.Leads integration of philanthropy campaign communications focused on engagement, events, and content development in partnership with leadership roles within MCW and Froedtert Hospital Communications teams. Designs overall campaign engagement strategy aligned with campaign brand/marketing strategy.Establish a philanthropy communications strategy to promote programs in support of campaign fundraising goals.Supervises a team consisting of two philanthropy creative services managers, Director of Stewardship, Stewardship Coordinator, and Board Engagement Coordinator. Guide's each leader's annual and strategic plans focused on increasing the both the quality and metrics-driven outcomes of engagement opportunities.Guides donor recognition and naming strategy aligned with campaign prioritiesLeverages efforts to increase engagement in partnership with OIA teams focused on annual giving, content development, communications channels, and volunteer management.Leads the vision for engagement of all leadership boards and disease-specific boards focused on elevating volunteer connectivity, giving, and campaign priority alignment.Collaborates with OIA leadership to promote a results-driven, collaborative work environment focused on strategic planning and process improvement within functional areas.Develop and implement a comprehensive, cross-team engagement program to promote donor acquisition and retention and alumni activity and engagement.Collaborate with the Executive Director of Alumni Relations to refine and implement a multi-approached engagement and annual and reunion giving strategy. Guide in opportunities to collaborate with annual giving in promoting the engagement and identification of alumni prospects.Collaborates with OIA leadership to promote a results-driven, collaborative work environment focused on strategic planning and process improvement within functional areas.Provide input and supervision over design and production of all development materials including publications, brochures and web-based content.Knowledge - Skills - AbilitiesDemonstrated success in engaging volunteers.Demonstrated success developing strategic and work plans, with an emphasis on effective project management.Experience creating compelling and effective communications materials.Exceptional organizational, analytical, and communications skills.Demonstrated ability to manage in a complex organization and plan strategically with high-level faculty, administrators and volunteers.Expert knowledge of fundraising concepts, techniques and procedures.Preferred experience with campaigns.

Minimum Qualifications:Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis.Minimum education: Bachelor's DegreeMinimum experience: 8+ years in the Advancement field, with a preference for experience in the higher education or healthcare sectors.

Preferred experience: 10+ years
