The Director of Special Education Family Supports fosters a continuous and meaningful connection with our families of exceptional students through outreach, engagement, and partnership activities. This position actively contributes insights and recommendations for enhancements to departmental processes and procedures specifically related to family engagement. This position collaborates with district initiatives in creating a culture and climate that explicitly recognizes family engagement as a fundamental cornerstone of student success. Minimum Qualifications: Education: • Bachelor’s degree in social services, public administration, education, or related field • Master’s degree in education or related field of social sciences from an accredited educational institution preferred Experience: • Five (5) years of experience in educational administration • Previous experience in K-12 school settings that serve low-income students and communities • Previous teaching experience in a special education classroom
