Cape Fox subsidiary Wolf Lake Services is seeking a Professional Development Program Specialist to join our team in Washington, DC in support of the US Agency for International Development (USAID). Background and Objectives: The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is the lead U.S. government agency responsible for providing economic development and humanitarian assistance abroad in support of U.S. foreign policy goals. Under this task order, the contractor will provide technical and professional services in the execution of their broad and diverse mission to facilitate inter-governmental operational requirements here at USAID. The Mission of USAID is to accelerate human progress in developing countries by reducing poverty, advancing democracy, building market economies, promoting security, responding to crises, and improving quality of life. Scope of Work: The purpose of this order is to provide the necessary level of professional and technical support required to facilitate the overall operational objectives of USAID and Human Capital and Talent Management (HCTM) Center for Professional Development (CPD) programs and functions. The Contractor will provide training consultation, development, facilitation and administration support on a full-time basis in support of HCTM/CPD’s mission and its Global Workforce Learning Strategy (GWLS). Responsibilities: Program Specialist (Design/Develop Professional Development Workshops & Programs) 50% Serve as central point of contact for the design/development of assigned professional development workshops. Formulate benchmarks, project evaluation, and reports to assist the CPD Program Manager in funding and oversight for the implementation of professional development workshops. Participate and collaborate with CPD Program Manager in the preparation and recommendation of detailed budgets, with cost estimates, for responsible functions; maintain budgetary control. Conduct training gap analysis to determine the Agency’s professional development training needs in the development of annual training schedule. Review program evaluation data and make recommendations for program and/or partnership refinements. Coordinate the logistics (room, equipment, speakers) for the various training programs and workshops. Design, develop and facilitate relevant and engaging training and workshops to maintain partnership engagement and program momentum. Design and brand marketing materials to include pamphlets and brochures for distribution and online viewing. Prepare Agency notices and draft scheduling proposals for keynote presentations from the front office senior administration. Coordinate with CPD Program Manager for the procurement of program materials from various approved vendors. Perform program management functions for the Agency’s mentoring program to include governance and direction, program monitoring, control, integration, establishing partnerships with internal offices and facilitating workshops. Employee Development (Coaching) 25% Identify and assess needs of clients. Assist clients in identifying their professional career goals, developing leadership skills and planning career moves. Promote outreach to increase employee participation in career coaching and advising through a variety of formats including drop-in interactions, individual appointments, and presentations/workshops. Help employees understand the relationship between self-knowledge and major career choice through formal and informal career assessments. Help clients identify career/employment opportunities; provide guidance on resumes or cover letters and strategizing for a successful job interview. Provide employees with relevant occupational, educational, and employment information that helps them to explore a wide range of career options. Empower employees to make reasoned major/career choices and to develop realistic implementation plans. Workshop/Course Delivery (25%) Facilitate workshops and courses to actively promote professional development and career opportunities that enhance the capacity of USAID workforce. Additional Duties Provide broad-scoped logistical and technical support for the Division and staff of the assigned Unit. Perform all other duties as assigned. All work must meet or exceed generally accepted performance and quality standards for professional business organizations. Travel Requirements:
0 - 10% Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year university. At least 5 years of relevant background in Human Resource Training and Development and related job experience. Experience presenting and facilitating training. Strong written and verbal communication skills; process and detail oriented. Professional experience must show coaching and training diverse personnel from administrative to senior staff and organizational development. Must be certified by the International Coaching Federation (ICF), Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), StrengthFinder (CliftonStrengths), and DISC Assessments. Must be able to obtain and maintain USAID Facility Access. Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986. Category:
