Your Role on the Team

Position Summary:

The Vice President, Information Technology Services (ITS) Operations partners with the Chief Information Officer and other senior IS leaders in developing strategic, operating, and IS project plans to accomplish UCI Health's mission. The Incumbent establishes and maintains ITS best practices and ITS governance framework. Incumbent is responsible for the ITS Program Management Office and ITS Business Partnerships and ITS Financial Operations. This leader develops and leads enterprise-wide project management initiatives and methodology, creates best practices and policies within ITS Operations.Responsibilities:Responsible for IS financial operations including annual budget development and management, contracts and ITS business operations.Partner with internal and external stakeholders, developing and overseeing strategic ITS portfolio plans and corresponding frameworks for enterprise ITS resource planning.Develop model for providing technology expertise into UCI Health Service lines for proactive portfolio management, overseeing a team of ITS Business Partners.Work closely with Senior Leadership throughout the health system to ensure that the ITS function operates in a financially successful manner and supports UCI Health's mission.Provide oversight for third party contractors, establish and effectively manage a portfolio of vendors and ensure contracts are executed in an effective and efficient manner.

These benefits may include medical insurance, sick and vacation time, retirement savings plans, and access to a number of discounts and perks.Required Qualifications:Strong planning, financial and analytical skills to provide effective leadership for assigned areas.Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.Minimum 5 years' experience in an executive leadership role (Director or higher) in IS Business operations including enterprise-wide IS financial management.Minimum 10 years' experience of progressive management responsibility.Marketing knowledge and skills to successfully promote assigned programs and services.Experience in leading a large health system program management office and the application of industry best practice project management and change management principles.Experience in developing requests for proposals in reference to leading-edge IT for healthcare.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.Excellent negotiation skills and proven ability to influence others internal and external to the organization.Evidence of sound critical thinking skills and the ability to think creatively and strategically.Demonstrated ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to successfully represent the UC Irvine Enterprise to the external community.Ability to successfully cross departmental lines of management to organize, guide and direct the development, delivery and marketing of assigned programs and services.Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.Ability to develop and implement programs and improve organizational performance.Preferred Qualifications:MBA or Masters in Healthcare Management or related field.Leadership experience in an academic medical center environment.Knowledge of University and Medical Center organizations, policies, procedures and forms.Experience in Project Management and Lean Six Sigma as improvement tools.Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP).Conditions of Employment:The University of California, Irvine (UCI) seeks to provide a safe and healthy environment for the entire UCI community.
