Position Summary:

Incumbent acts as a clinical expert and leader in the development, upgrade, enhancement, and support of Clinical Information Systems across the health system. Assesses and restructures current clinical workflow processes, leveraging technology to ensure systems development and maintenance provides operational efficiencies and supports patient safety. Facilitates decisions and work efforts which affect applications and patient care practices.What It Takes to be Successful

Required Qualifications:

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned dutiesMust demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the jobMinimum 5 years working in a clinical management roleExperience implementing and supporting EMR in ambulatory / clinical settingExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishCurrent CA RN licenseBachelor's Degree in Nursing or related fieldAbility to work flexible hours, including nights and weekendsAbility to understand and interpret clinical needs and transform IT technical tools to meet such needsAbility to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workloadAbility to function as a project leader and project memberAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health SystemAbility to apply logical troubleshooting and analysis techniques for the purpose of problem resolutionPreferred Qualifications:

Project Coordination / management experiencePrevious experience working in a healthcare IT environment and/or healthcare IT consulting organizationMaster's degree in Nursing InformaticsKnowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and formsExperience using / implementing EPICConditions of Employment:
