Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Director, People Business Partner (HRBP) to join our Global Finance People team. This individual will operate as a trusted advisor, partnering closely with leaders to drive the talent agenda for the Global Finance Team.

The successful candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment that is continuously evolving, has a strong bias for action, and thirst for continuous improvement and transformation to drive business results. As a member of the Global Finance People team, the PBP (HRBP) will have strong collaboration skills, partnering with internal counterparts and Centers of Excellence to successfully plan and deliver People (HR) strategies and programs.

Essential Functions :

Serve as a strategic People Business Partner to enable leaders and the organization to ensure Visa’s Finance talent attraction, retention and development strategies uplift people to be at their best and drive Visa’s future business growth.

Drive the strategy and execution of all people/organizational processes for the client groups, including but not limited to performance management, talent and succession planning, organizational development, rewards and recognition, employee relations, change management, diversity & inclusion, and workforce planning in partnership with Centers of Excellence and the People Advisory Team.

Establish a strong partnership with business leaders, serving as a coach, thought partner and resource/consultant in strategic and tactical approaches for all Human Resources areas.

Act as a catalyst in developing and delivering People/Organization solutions tailored to the specific needs of each business and overall business/functional objectives.

Provide proactive guidance on organizational and talent development initiatives leveraging a data-driven mindset to assess metrics and proactively provide people/organization insights and solutions.

Partner with leaders to build high performing teams and organizations.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications :

10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 7 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD.

Preferred Qualifications :

Proven experience operating as a senior HRBP with exposure to an innovative business that continues to reinvent their business proposition.

Experience with working with global teams in a matrixed HR environment and the ability to work effectively across all levels of an organization.

Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to build strong relationships and the ability to influence across levels within the organization.

Agile thinker with the ability to be highly creative, innovative and future-oriented as it relates to HR solutions.

Ability to deal with a high degree of ambiguity and complexity with a growth and transformational mindset.

Analytical rigor and facility with HR reporting tools (Workday, Excel, PowerPoint and Word), including the ability to interpret and tell a story with data.

Ability to market, package and design people/organizational programs.

Hold high standards of client service and works closely to establish credibility with clients.

Strong coaching ability.

Collaborative and strong partnering orientation and focus on problem-solving to achieve win-win outcomes.

Ability to balance employer and employee advocacy.

Manages work with a project and consulting mindset.

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent presentation skills.

Demonstrate advance planning as well as excellent execution and problem-solving skills.

Experience with high levels of accountability, and demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and ability to manage workload and achieve results with minimal supervision.

Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements:

This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements:

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
