FI offers variety, challenge, responsibility and the opportunity to realize your leadership potential.FI's Financial Risk Management role encompasses the methodologies, tools, and approaches that help our clients protect their portfolios. The primary responsibility of this individual is to process and analyze data for risk management purposes, e.g., stress testing, risk reporting, acquisitions, loan origination, credit modeling, account maintenance, collections.Responsibilities:Analyzing and interpreting complex data sets in various software packages using statistical and financial techniquesWork closely with model owners, business lines, and CFO organization to improve models and analytics through dataCollect data from various sources, build models and/or dashboards, perform analysis and interpret results to assist in making impactful business decisionsAssist in data strategy and governance, data quality, and data architecture and modeling projectsRequired qualifications:BS/BA degree in a quantitative discipline such as finance, engineering, physics, statistics, or mathematics3+ years of risk management (DFAST) and credit modeling experience at a financial institution3+ years of experience in capturing, manipulating, and analyzing large datasetsKnowledge of data structures, data warehouse concepts, and data modelingKnowledge of methods for preparing data for statistical models and/or Machine Learning modelsExperience developing and automating extraction, transform, and load (ETL) processes including using enterprise data integration toolsExperience using enterprise database platforms (Oracle, IBM, SAP HANA, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and cloud platformsExperience writing SQL and programming knowledge in Python or RFamiliarity with data visualization tools and techniquesAbility to articulate highly technical information in a simple, concise, clear, and understandable mannerPreferred qualifications:Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline such as finance, engineering, physics, statistics, or mathematicsExperience with Single Family credit modelingExperience with Government Sponsored Enterprises (GSEs)Prior consulting experienceCFA, FRM or similar professional certificationsSuccessful candidates will possess:Desire to deliver exceptional value to FI's clients and teammates and take the necessary steps to enable their successProactive and innovative approaches to problem solving and solution developmentDrive to always look for ways to improve processesReliability, trustworthiness, honesty, and commitmentDemonstrated ability to learn and apply new concepts quickly, and to take on a broad range of analytical and management tasksExcellent communication, organizational, and technical writing skillsAbility to confidently interact with all levels of our clients' organizationsDesire to work in a fast-paced and demanding environmentWhat it's really like to work for us:You will work with a team of smart, talented people in a culture that is simultaneously driven, collegial, and supportive.
