Direct Counsel
is seeking an associate to join a top firm in its Commercial Litigation practice in either their Columbus or Cincinnati offices. This position presents an exciting opportunity to work on diverse and complex litigation matters, particularly in the areas of business disputes or healthcare-related litigation.Key Responsibilities:Handle various aspects of commercial litigation, including business disputes or healthcare-related cases such as payment disputes, vendor disputes, government investigations, and False Claims Act cases.Conduct interviews with witnesses, review electronically stored documents, and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.Conduct and defend depositions, interact with clients and opposing counsel, and attend certain court appearances.Demonstrate the ability to handle litigation matters with minimal supervision.Strong candidates may have experience clerking in federal court or handling appellate cases.Minimum Requirements:Minimum of three years of relevant litigation experience.Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.Admission to practice law in Ohio is mandatory.Strong academic credentials and excellent research and writing skills.Experience in business disputes or healthcare-related litigation is preferred.Ability to handle most aspects of litigation independently.Experience clerking in federal court or handling appellate cases is a plus.Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
