Organization BackgroundBased in Washington, DC, Easterly Government Properties, Inc. (“Easterly” or the “Company”) is a publicly traded Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) focused primarily on the acquisition, development and management of Class A commercial properties that are leased to U.S. Government agencies.

DescriptionEasterly’s Asset Management team is seeking an Analyst to provide analytical support through research, data collection and data management of information for the organization. The candidate will primarily report to the Head of Engineering & Project Delivery but with oversight from the Chief Asset Officer. The candidate will improve the way the Company manages and utilizes data and information to streamline operational performance. Additionally, the candidate will lead efforts to harness the Company’s systems and underlying data to ensure the Company is fulfilling its various requirements as an employer and federal contractor.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is highly organized, technically proficient, and data-savvy with an intellectual curiosity and a drive for constant improvement. The candidate must be comfortable with immediately taking ownership of tasks and contributing ideas for how to best structure work projects. The candidate must be capable of executing projects and tasks with minimal oversight. The position requires strong time management skills, a commitment to meeting deadlines, and an ability to work well with a variety of people at different levels within and outside Easterly’s organization.

Key ResponsibilitiesWork Order System:

Facilitate the migration of Easterly’s portfolio to the Company’s selected work order system (IMPAK)Aggregate and evaluate equipment lists and preventative maintenance schedules, distribute tenant communications regarding usage of IMPAK, and data retrieval and reviewServe as the company’s account representative for technical mattersAssist in the development of policies and procedures for end usersConduct analyses on use and issues to glean overarching observations on individual asset and portfolio performance

Capital Planning:

Work with the Head of Engineering and Project Delivery to create the portfolio 5-year Capital PlanTrack team utilization of the Company’s selected capital planning software (Yardi) in performance of annual execution of the Capital PlanPrepare scenario analyses for dynamic changes to the Capital PlanAssist with capital investment portion of the annual Budget Formation process

Reporting & Data Analysis:

Maintain portfolio data and statisticsDevelop and prepare ad hoc reports on a variety of inter-related issues that affect building performance, energy consumption, and capital investmentMaintain database of vendors and analyze vendor costs and performanceWork with the Head of Asset Management Operations to design and maintain lease compliance reports and submissionsAssist with various ad hoc requests related to the administration of the Company’s portfolio of propertiesPrepare summary reports and slides for senior management usePrepare maps and visual aids

General operational support

of the Asset Management team to improve efficiency and achieve team goals

QualificationsMinimum 2-4 years’ applicable experienceBachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, business, computer science or a related fieldPrior knowledge of commercial real estate building systems and operationsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPointExcellent verbal and written communication skillsSelf-starter with a tenacity toward meeting deadlines, a strong sense of urgency and good self-management disciplineAbility to function in a team-oriented setting and respond well to constructive criticismExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skillsAbility to establish and sustain relationships with prospects, partners, and existing clientsStrong ethical character and soft skills to interact as a part of a high-performing team.Familiarity with maintaining databases for tracking and reporting purposesAn Equal Opportunity Employer
