Organization BackgroundBased in Washington, DC, Easterly Government Properties, Inc. (“Easterly” or the “Company”) is a publicly traded Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) focused primarily on the acquisition, development and management of Class A commercial properties that are leased primarily to U.S. Government agencies.

DescriptionEasterly’s Corporate Finance team is seeking a Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (“FP&A”) to provide financial analysis, as well as assist with other capital markets-related and operational activities. The candidate will primarily report to the VP of Corporate Finance. The position will utilize Microsoft Excel proficiency to compile financial data and information to analyze past performance and create reliable future projections. The position requires strong time management skills, a commitment to meeting deadlines, and an ability to work well with a variety of people at different levels within and outside Easterly’s organization. The ideal candidate for this position is highly organized yet adaptable, data-savvy with an intellectual curiosity, a drive for constant improvement, and has the ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment with autonomy.

Key ResponsibilitiesOwn the five-year earnings projection modelMaintain key leasing and portfolio-level statisticsAssist with annual company-wide budgeting processDraft quarterly and annual lender compliance materials for submissionPrepare accurate and timely financial reports, presentations, and disclosures for internal and external stakeholders, including the Board of DirectorsCollaborate with the Investor Relations team on guidance tracking and equity analyst model analysisEvaluate and create processes to ensure departmental efficiencySupport ad-hoc efforts and reporting requests from senior management, investors and other external stakeholdersAs required, coordinate and assist other departments, including Accounting, Acquisitions, and Development in support of their operations to achieve corporate objectives

QualificationsBachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field with 5+ years of financial planning and analysis experiencePrior knowledge of commercial real estate finance preferredAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPointExcellent verbal and written communication skillsSelf-starter with a tenacity toward meeting deadlines, a strong sense of urgency and good self-management disciplineAbility to function in a high-performing team-oriented settingExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skillsThe base pay range for this role is between $125,000 and $175,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, experience and training, knowledge, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
