We are seeking a Facility Manager to join our Maintenance and Operations team and support the team at Medical Lake—Spokane, Washington.In this role, as a member of the Facilities, Finance, and Analytics (FFA) team within the Maintenance and Operations Division (MOD), you will be responsible for the direct management and daily supervision of the facility's operations and maintenance staff electrical distribution, steam generation, and mechanical and equipment maintenance and repair. You will be accountable for ensuring that the building and related building support equipment are maintained at optimum service levels through monitoring, rapid response to issues, and maintaining the required skills and capacity within the team. You will be directing and developing the facilities maintenance staff, managing the maintenance budget, and providing effective and consistent management of equipment maintenance and operations as needed. Transform Lives .Opportunities performed on-site at this work location at least three days a week may be eligible for an additional 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary.Some what you’ll do:Supervise and direct assigned maintenance and operational staff.Coordinate with program and headquarters budget staff for the development of the funds by category necessary to create biennial budgets and fiscal year allotments.Manage local facility assessments to help identify and prioritize projects for the department's capital budget requests.Perform budget management on funds provided to minimize or eliminate any year-end overspending and ensure appropriate use of the facility resources.Perform personnel actions as warranted in a timely manner or as required.Create and provide data to determine operational metrics for department management that include budget actuals and projections, work orders, programmatic efforts, and personnel vacancies.Open, close, and monitor work orders in the system.Interview, hire, train, evaluate, and discipline personnel for MOD positions.Develop, implement, and monitor training.Perform building and equipment condition and assessment reports, recommend work as needed, and complete work requests to show the time and materials used.Establish and maintain a regulatory compliance program for OSHA, Fire Marshal, and other facility regulators.Participate in all required union or labor relations activity including formal and informal demands to bargains.Support effective communications throughout the organization.Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) program to maximize the use of staff time and organizational funding.Provide Capital Project support locally throughout the Medical Lake Campus ensuring vendor and contractors.Manage stewardship of water, natural gas, and electrical utilities to assure efficient use.Who should apply?A bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, building construction, or a related field and 5 years of facilities management experience, 3 years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity.Or8 years of working experience in facilities management, 3 years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity.Equivalent professional experience/education (such as coursework in project management, construction management, and computer systems management) will substitute year-for-year for the required education.Preferred /desired education, experience and competencies:Ability to read and work from construction drawings, plans, and sketches.Credentials as a Certified Facilities Manager or similar certification.Credentials as a Public Manager.Interested?Completed applications should include the following:Letter of interestCurrent ResumeThree professional references
