A law firm in Orlando, FL, is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Estates and Trusts Attorney. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of estate planning, trust administration, and wealth preservation, with a strong focus on client relationship management and project leadership. This role involves significant client contact, mentoring younger associates, and collaborating with seasoned partners to deliver exceptional legal services. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to navigate complex legal and business issues, with a commitment to client counseling and development.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement comprehensive estate plans tailored to individual and family needs, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.Provide expert advice on estate and generation-skipping tax planning, financial planning, and charitable giving strategies.Manage all estate and trust administration aspects, including probate administration, asset management, and distribution to beneficiaries.Advise business owners on succession planning, ensuring smooth transitions and preservation of business assets.Counsel high-net-worth clients on wealth preservation strategies, integrating tax-efficient structures and long-term planning.Negotiate and draft complex legal documents, including trust agreements, buy-sell agreements, and partnership agreements.Provide legal counsel on corporate law matters related to estate planning, including mergers and acquisitions, business formation, and corporate governance.Mentor and oversee the work of junior associates, providing guidance and feedback on legal research, drafting, and client interactions.Collaborate with partners and other legal professionals within the firm to deliver comprehensive legal solutions to clients.Actively participate in client development activities, including networking, presentations, and publishing articles.Qualifications:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a top-tier, ABA-approved law school.A minimum of 10+ years of experience in estate planning, trust administration, and related legal fields.Admission to the Florida Bar, with active membership and good standing.Strong client relationship management skills, with a proven track record of building and maintaining long-term client relationships.Extensive experience in document drafting, senior review, and negotiation in estate and corporate matters.Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead junior attorneys, fostering professional growth and development.Experience in a large law firm environment is preferred.Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, focusing on creative solutions for complex legal issues.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.Advanced knowledge of tax, trust, and corporate law related to estate planning and business succession.Proficiency in legal research and staying current with changes in relevant laws and regulations.High professionalism, ethical standards, and commitment to client service.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while being self-motivated and capable of independent work.
