Outlook Christian Church seeks a dynamic and passionate Youth Pastor/Youth Director to lead and nurture our youth ministry. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to cultivating a thriving youth community (6th - 12th grade) rooted in the Christian faith, guiding young individuals in their spiritual journeys, and fostering a welcoming environment for all youth to grow in their relationship with God.Job Description
Responsibilities:Lead weekly youth services, including worship, teaching, and discipleship activities.Mentor and disciple youth individually and in small groups.Provide pastoral care and counseling to youth as needed.Program Development:Develop and implement engaging programs and events to encourage spiritual growth, community building, and outreach.Organize and oversee youth retreats, camps, mission trips, and other special events.Team Building:Recruit, train, and empower volunteer leaders to assist in youth ministry activities.Foster a collaborative and supportive environment among youth leaders, volunteers, and parents.Community Engagement:Build relationships with youth, parents, and the wider church community.Partner with parents to support and equip them in nurturing their children’s faith.Administrative Duties:Manage the youth ministry budget and resources effectively.Regularly communicate with church leadership and parents regarding youth activities and initiatives.Qualifications:A committed follower of Jesus Christ with a strong personal faith and a passion for youth ministry.Bachelor’s degree in theology, ministry, or a related field (theological training preferred).Previous experience (2+ years) in youth ministry leadership, demonstrating effective teaching, mentoring, and organizational skills.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to relate well to youth, parents, and volunteers.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and support the church’s overall mission.Preferred Skills:Experience in organizing and leading youth events, camps, retreats, and missions.Proficiency in using technology and social media for ministry purposes.Understanding of current youth culture and challenges faced by young people today.Additional Requirements:Membership or willingness to become an attendee and part of our family atmosphere of Outlook Christian Church.Agreement with the statement of faith and core values of Outlook Christian Church.How To Apply
