The Finance department in the hospital is responsible for planning, monitoring, and controlling the financial resources of UCSF Medical Center. This department works closely with other departments, such as clinical, administrative, and operational, to ensure that the hospital's goals and objectives are met. The Medical Center Finance team also provides financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting to support the decision-making process of the hospital's unit directors, managers, and senior leadership.Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related area.Five years or more of relevant Finance experience working in healthcare.Advanced problem-solving skills, analytical ability, and in-depth knowledge of documentation and reporting, with the ability to run highly complex queries and studies, collect and analyze financial and performance data, and produce relevant, meaningful reports, analyses, and forecasts.In-depth ability to work with senior staff and managers across departments, serving as a technical leader and information resource in decision support, and providing recommendations and advice on decision support processes, business and financial issues, and industry trends and advances.Experience using EPSi or another hospital decision support software application is desirable, as is having worked in an EPIC health records environment.Experience working with patient financial data in an acute hospital setting.Exposure to analysis at both the summary and detail level.Experience with commonly used healthcare data sources (e.g., UHC's CDB/RM or ODB/Action OI databases, Sg2, etc.).Preferred Qualifications
