Head of Compliance Operations and Risk
will report to the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) and support in designing, implementing, and maintaining the company's global compliance program. The
Head of Compliance Operations and Risk
will work across all aspects of LivaNova's global compliance program in continuous alignment with the Compliance Officers of the business units, CCO, and key stakeholders on the assessment and management of LivaNova's risks.Functions and Tasks : The
Head of Compliance Operations and Risk
will work closely with the CCO on a wide range of strategic activities, as well as be responsible for the program's systems and operations, such as:Conducting global corporate Risk Assessments and maintaining a current and accurate Risk Register, staying informed about evolving external requirements worldwide, and identifying gaps and/or areas of improvement as applicable;Managing compliance and enterprise risk and mitigation strategies;Leading LivaNova's Third Party Risk Management Program, systems, and third-party providers, and continually evolving the program as needed based on LivaNova's business operations;Working with identified risk owners to develop risk mitigation strategies and track progress over time;Overseeing LivaNova's Trade Compliance program, system, and third-party providers, enhancing and evolving the program as needed based on external requirements and business operations, and monitoring to ensure execution;Supporting the CCO in the strategic, risk-based planning of yearly E&I activities and goals;Leading projects related to the ongoing enhancement of LivaNova's compliance program, across all elements and regions;Aligning with CCO and Compliance Officers to keep abreast of changes in the legal, regulatory, and compliance landscape that may affect the company, enabling timely (re)evaluation of risk and program response;Responding to internal and external auditors' questions and requests relating to the compliance program and reviewing E&I-relevant sections of the company's US Proxy Report and UK Annual Report.This position will require business travel.Ideal Background, Skills and Experience10+ years' experience in the compliance, risk, or internal auditing & controlling domain, preferably within the medical device or pharmaceutical industries;Demonstrated experience assessing risk and developing risk mitigation strategies;Experience in project/program management, including implementation and ownership of company-wide solutions and systems (scoping, design, configuration, implementation & maintenance, change management & training, KPIs & monitoring);Strong understanding of the industry's standards and the regulations affecting healthcare/manufacturing companies;An analytical mind able to "see" the complexities of procedures and regulations;A business acumen combined with a dedication to ethics and integrity;Methodical and diligent with excellent planning and prioritization abilities;Advanced Microsoft Office and computer skills;Excellent communication and writing skills (in English);Collaborative, problem-solving attitude and good interpersonal skills;Able to adapt to different working styles that vary by culture and individual;Project management and/or compliance certifications are a plus;Foreign languages are a plus.Employee benefits include:Health benefits - Medical, Dental, Vision;Personal and Vacation Time;Retirement & Savings Plan (401K);Employee Stock Purchase Plan;Training & Education Assistance;Bonus Referral Program;Service Awards;Employee Recognition Program;Flexible Work Schedules.Pay Transparency:
A reasonable estimate of the annual base salary for this position is $170,000-$200,000 + discretionary annual bonus.
