Develops preliminary estimates for potential clientsCreates project-specific final scopes of workLeads outreach efforts to subcontractorsObtains bids with particular attention to M/WBE, Section 3, and prevailing wage requirementsEvaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers for accuracy and completenessHands off project budget to the Project Management team and assists the team in the selection of subcontractors and suppliers through final bidding and buyoutAssists with certain post-bid buyouts as neededDevelops and maintains historic cost database to maximize estimating efficiency and increase conceptual estimating accuracyEstablishes and maintains standard scope of work packages for each tradeBuilds and maintains relationships with subcontractors and suppliersInteracts with clients, architects, and engineers as neededProfile5+ years of Estimating experienceExperience with projects with contract value of $15M+Experience in multifamily housing, especially affordable housing, preferredSelf-starter with ability to work under moderate supervisionComfortable soliciting subs in newer markets where client is expandingProficient with Building Connected or similar preconstruction softwareJob OfferBase salary: $90k - $120k, dependent on experienceBonus earning potentialFully vested 401(k) with a 4% employer matchHealth, dental, and vision coverage (all employee premiums paid by company)Insurance and 401(k) benefits offered with immediate eligibility15 days of PTOFlexible hoursCar allowancePhone allowanceUnlimited growth potentiaMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
