Our client, a family owned Civil Contractor is urgently looking for a an experience Estimator to join their team!Client DetailsBased in Providence, RIProjects throughout Rhode Island and Southern MassachusettsEstablished in 1984 - nearly 40 years in business$20M+ in annual revenueSmall close knit teamServices/Type of Construction: Site work, Utilities, Earthwork, and ConcreteBridge Construction, Water/Waste Water Treatment Plants, Storage Tanks, Pile Driving, Concrete, Landfill, Power Plants, TunnelingOne of the most established Civil/Site Contractors in Rhode Island, serving the area for almost 40 years and offering their employees the opportunity to advance and diversify their skill setDescriptionThe Estimator will be responsible for:Communicate in a professional manner with both clients, business partners, and colleagues.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and ensure accurate estimates.Review and interpret project documents, including drawings, specifications, and contracts to develop a clear and detailed understanding of the project scope.Identifies discrepancies and gaps in the documents that must be filled in for a complete proposal.Prepare comprehensive and accurate cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.Solicits subcontractor and vendor pricing and ensures proper scope inclusion.Completes detailed labor and material takeoffs.ProfileThe successful Estimator will have:5-10 years of experience in civil/ heavy highway.Education: Bachelor's degree in construction management/ civil engineering or a related field or equivalent work experience.Demonstrated written and verbal communication skillsEffective presentation skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Demonstrated knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and industry standards.Job OfferThe Estimator will receive:Base salary up to $160K depending on experience2-3 weeks PTOHealthcare, 401K, Sick daysMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
