Position Summary:

The Integration Architech participates in the development / support of interface specification between application teams, software vendors, and Carle Business areas. This individual will perform analysis, design, coding, QA, implementation, documentation and support of the interfaces which integrate disparate applications throughout the enterprise, spanning multiple architectures. In this role you will further develop a thorough understanding of the organizations business practices, design customized solutions and trouble shoot configuration and/or application problems. You will monitor the status of all interfaces to insure the timely flow of data to the respective systems. This role will be able to create/modify interfaces by means of scripting. This position will focus on the Cloverleaf Tools and the Epic Interfaces using the Bridges application. This person initiates change management and positively influences changes for end users.

Qualifications:

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Bachelors Information Systems OR Associate's degree with programming courses and two (2) years of programming/analyst experience is valid substitution for academic achievement. OR High school diploma with programming course and four (4) years of programming/analyst experience is valid substitution for academic achievement. CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS None specified. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 2 years Information Technology - Programmer/Analyst 2 years experience with SQL database design, use and troubleshooting 2 years software Application Design 2 years experience in how Interfaces and networks work together, public/private IP addressing, SFTP, DNS, port use, VPN tunnels. 1 year experience with protocols such as FTP, SFTP, TCPIP, HTTP(S). 1 year experience in the design, development, deployment and support of healthcare standard interfaces (HL7, FHIR, X12, XML, VRL, IHE and custom formats). 1 year experience with one or more of the following: TCL, Java, J2EE, Java Script, VB, XML. 1 year experience with one or more enterprise interface engines (Cloverleaf, CorePoint, Rhapsody, Mirth) Cloverleaf preferred. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Effective communication skills with internal and external customers, ability to function well in stressful situations, ability to function well as part of a team, and the ability to resolve routine to complex problems by following departmental procedures. Understands the basic functions and importance of clinical and financial data in a Health System environment.

Essential Functions:

Designs/codes/implements/documents interfaces through knowledge of interface methodologies (Communication protocols, message formats, interface engines, ect.) utilizing team's supported programming languages and tools with supervision.

Assists both internal and external customers in finding solutions to their need for information as it related to the interfacing of disparate applications througout the enterprise, spanning multiple architectures.

Implement strategies necessary to reach objectives of the organization through facilitating the development and delivery of integrated solutions to the interfacing of disparate systems.

Monitors the status of all interfaces to insure the timely flow of data to the respective systems. Troubleshoots interface related problems by working with support teams, users and vendors to resolve issues in a timely and courteous manner. Uses the helpdesk ticket tracking software for ticket entry, tracking and follow up.

Creates test plans and performs QA for their software objects.
