Maintenance Generalist, Journey

position located at the McLaughlin Youth Center in Anchorage, Alaska.What You Will Be DoingObserving strict safety and security requirements, this position will independently perform the installation, maintenance, and repair of building components and systems at the McLaughlin Youth Center, a secure institutional setting.

In addition, this position works as part of a team that provides maintenance related support services to the Mat-Su Youth Facility and the Kenai Peninsula Youth Facility, requiring occasional travel.

Advancement within the division is always encouraged and supported.The Working Environment You Can ExpectThis position is located within the McLaughlin Youth Center, which is a 24-hour secure facility located at 2600 Providence Drive in Anchorage, Alaska. This is a full-time position with work hours from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. This includes a lunch period from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm. This position requires the ability to be “on-call/standby” on a rotating basis. You may also be required to travel periodically to provide maintenance support at our Palmer and Kenai locations.Who We Are Looking ForIn addition to the Minimum Qualifications below, we are looking for a candidate with the following desired competencies:Interpersonal Skills:
